See why AI agents choose SV Number over AgentLine

AgentLine gives an agent one phone number of its own. SV Number gives it a new private number for every signup, in 211 countries, charged only when the verification code arrives.

What AgentLine is, and where it is strong

AgentLine is voice infrastructure for AI agents: a US or Canadian number that makes and takes calls, with speech transcribed to text, passed to the model and spoken back. SMS comes along with it, inbound only.

They are good at phone conversations: the whole product is built around an agent that talks and listens, with a skill file and an MCP server to set it up in a couple of minutes. That is a real product doing a real job, and this page does not pretend otherwise.

The difference is the job. A carrier number is the agent's phone identity. SV Number is built for the moment an agent needs to create an account: a clean number in the country the service expects, the code read straight from the API, and the number released the minute it is done.

SV Number against AgentLine, point by point

Everything in the AgentLine column comes from their own public pages, read on 06 August 2026. Two rows go their way, and they are in the table for the same reason the rest are.

Three differences that decide it

A voice product doing verification work part-time

AgentLine sells minutes: calls in, calls out, speech both ways. SMS rides along, inbound only, at two cents a message on top of the monthly number. For an agent whose actual job is creating accounts, that is paying for a phone system to use its smallest feature.

Two countries against two hundred

US and Canada cover the services that accept a North American number. Everything else, from a local marketplace in Indonesia to a delivery app in India or a bank in Brazil, checks the country and refuses. SV Number lets the agent name the country in the request, which turns that refusal into a normal signup.

Know the odds before you spend

SV Number publishes a delivery rate per service and country, measured on real activations, so an agent can move to a better country before it spends anything. With a number you pay for monthly there is no such signal, so you find out by paying and waiting.

When AgentLine is the better choice

Three cases where we would point you at them instead.

  • Your agent has to speak with people on the phone, which is the product AgentLine actually is.
  • You want inbound calls transcribed and answered without building the speech layer yourself.
  • One North American number that stays reachable matters more than reaching other countries.

Nothing stops you running both: a permanent number for the conversations, SV Number for the accounts the agent has to create along the way.

Questions people ask when comparing the two

AgentLine costs under two dollars a month. Is SV Number cheaper?

Per account, yes. A verification costs a fraction of a dollar and nothing after that. Paying monthly is cheaper only if the same number keeps working for you all month, which is not what signup work looks like.

Can SV Number make calls?

No. These numbers receive verification codes. If your agent needs to hold a conversation, AgentLine does that and we do not.

Why does the delivery rate matter?

Because a cheap number in a country where the code rarely arrives is the expensive option, because you pay again on every retry. Picking by delivery rate rather than by price is what keeps the cost per finished account down.

A fresh number for every signup, wherever the service is

Top up once, hand your agent the key, and let it verify accounts on its own.
